Why There: Ok, granted, Hickory wasn't our favorite relocation, but it was and IS an important one. It was the first time in our marriage that we were alone, together. It was our first move, it was our first step away from your "home". If not a favorite move, it was still a landmark one for us.
What The Donation is For: To build a new, permanent multi-purpose facility that will include a no-kill animal Shelter, Education Center, and low-cost regional Spay/Neuter clinic under one roof.

Notes:
When I called the Humane Society, Peggy answered and was just blown away by the idea of the gift. She put me on hold, then went and got some of the other women that were there to come listen on speakerphone while I retold the story of the gift to them all. Peggy said she thought that it was the most romantic gift she had ever heard of, and said you (Juli) are a lucky woman. Of course, I agreed. :)
