Why There: This year we really began our life in Rock Hill. This town would be our real first home away from Asheville. We really got connected to NRHC and made some of our first non-Asheville friendships.
What The Donation is For: Funds collected go toward the "Walk of Hope" at the new Animal Shelter

This was one of the first bricks that I found, but it took about the longest to make happen. They would only accept money orders or checks. I couldn't use a check because you'd probably see the transaction and ask what it was about, and I kept forgetting to get money orders. When I finally sent it off, I got a call from the Animal Shelter saying that they just had sent off an order for 1000 bricks and it had taken them about a year to collect them all. They said they'd be happy to take my order, but that it would probably be over a year before the next batch was ready...sometime in 2009!
