Notes:
This is the cheapest of all bricks to date. $25! It is such a low price because they are honoring Ray Rios, a longtime advocate and supporter of the playground. The story was so cool, I thought I'd include it here...

Raymond Rios was a dedicated supporter of Freedom Playground. He passed away in August 2006. Ray always sent short notes and words of encouragement at the exact moment when it seemed as if we would never raise enough money to build our dream playground. He always included a check for $25 made out to “Sarah’s Park.” Sarah Busansky is an eight year old girl who loves to read, play and have fun. She uses a wheelchair which makes it difficult to play on traditional playgrounds with her friends. She inspired her Mom to start Freedom Playground Foundation. It is a playground for everyone. It will have accessible surfacing and equipment that will appeal to kids of all ages and abilities. No one will be excluded or have to sit on the sidelines watching other kids play. It will be the first universally accessible playground in the City of Tampa.

There are 33,000 families in Hillsborough County who have children with disabilities. The one thing they have in common with your family is they all like to feel connected to the community and play with their friends. Freedom Playground will be built in Macfarlane Park in West Tampa where Raymond and his wife, Margaret live. Ray’s Way will be a special area of the playground dedicated to the many supporters that have helped with the project.

In Ray’s memory we are selling engraved 4 x 8 bricks for $25. We are keeping the cost low so that everyone can be a part of the playground. Buy one for yourself or a family member or someone that has been a “Ray” in your life. You can donate more if you would like and we will use it to purchase playground equipment. Be creative and say whatever you want on the bricks. They will be a lasting tribute to Ray’s kindness and his belief that everyone deserves a place to play.
